I am a black card member and this is my favorite location by a landslide. The employees are extremely friendly and welcoming here. Even though they have contactless check in, I am greeted with a smile every single time. The entire facility is spotless and the machines are much more updated than others. Using the spa services is always a seamless experience. My only complaint is that people tend to sit on their phone and not follow the rules of the 30 workout minute room. I wish people would be more courteous of others.

I was introduced to the red-light therapy light at the Elgin location and loved it, so when I visited the Crystal lake location i asked if they had the red light therapy, I was told yes. Come to find out I was in the stand up tanning booth and now I'm burnt. Both machines look the same.. I have very fair complextion and don't do tanning booths. I'm extremely upset and in pain now. Teach your staff what the difference is......

Got my black card hoping to use the total body enhancement but very disappointed to see that they do not offer that anymore.. wish that they would promote more healthy practices instead of just offering a hybrid with tanning beds. I will have to travel to Woodstock or get rid of my black card and just get it for the gym. That said, the gym is nice and clean just so bummed about the TBE red light.

The facility and machines seem to be decent. The staff not so much. It seems they hire the least helpful staff they can find. I went in to sign up and was told I had to do so on the app. Nothing online explained this. Why would I have an app for a place I don’t belong to? Anyway. The staff member stood there while I downloaded the app and signed up then completed the process on his end. Told me about the perks. I had to ask where the tanning beds were. I asked about the red light therapy. He responded “I’m not sure, I haven’t researched it but you can google it”. I then said oh ok… well I guess I’ll just show myself around then? No offer to show me how to use the machines. I had to guess on how to use the elliptical. I still didn’t get it right but I manage to get on. The tanning beds are to be cleaned my the customer? It’s cheap and it will suffice, but again staff is less than desirable. I have heard similar complaints about other locations as well.
